GDPR COMPLIANCE

Avius have always taken data privacy and security seriously. However, we did make some changes before GDPR came into force, in May 2018, to ensure we could help our clients to be GDPR compliant.

Transparency and Data Privacy

We’ve made changes in Avius survey software to enable our clients to add a Privacy Notice to any questions where they are collecting personal data. Here you can inform respondents how you intend to use their data and provide them with a full link to your Privacy Policy.

Please note the contents of the Privacy Policy are your responsibility as the Data Controller. You will also need to provide your Privacy Notice in each language offered in your survey.

Data Retention and Storage

We will store your data indefinitely, unless you instruct us otherwise. Individuals may ask for a copy of their personal data, for their data to be corrected, or for their data to be deleted. The Avius team will of course assist you with these request. For more information please read Rights for Individuals.

Security

All data is stored on dedicated servers in a well-established tier 2 UK based Data Centre (ISO 27001 Certified). Data transferred to and from the servers is done over HTTPS and is TLS/SSL encrypted. For more information please go to our security page.

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new legislation in EU law regarding data protection and privacy. The aim is to protect the privacy of all EU citizens.

It applies to all companies processing the personal data of people residing in the European Union, regardless of where the company is located.
